This study is related to the comparison among two co-operative banks The Pandharpur Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd. and The Merchants Cooperative Bank Ltd. regarding Non-Performing Assets.

Non-performing assets are those assets which are obsolete assets and are unable to incur any income. These assets are not nigh for any bank as it affects on the banks performance, its goodwill, and its profits and nearly importantly it affects generation of working capital. This study is an attempt to comparing the individual NPAs of three years, with respect to their actual loans given and in any case to compare the actual NPAs of both banks. This is also an attempt to escort the efficiency of both banks regarding NPAs and their recovery, through this study.
