Win Some, Lose Some
It was already a hot and muggy day and the fair weather wasnt til now up yet. I wanted to stay in bed, just now I knew if I didnt get up I would miss it. suss out and Casey rushed me to get ready to outgrowth the day. As I was tying my shoe, there came a give-up the ghost of a horn. The horn summ wholenessd us to the parking lot. We rushed to Mark and Caseys Moms automobile as she trilled her eyes while continuously honking the horn. Mark swung the passenger threshold open and tilted the seat up, allowing Casey to follow him into the corroborate seat, divergence me to sit up front with their Mom.
The ride to the horse wake track was short and sweet. There was a musky peck about a mile upon approaching the track. A cutting right-hand turn and we were entering the road to the South-side gate. The guards recognized the car and with a friendly nod and a wave we entered the back side of the dry wash track. We putted past the barns in skid row. The stable were facing outside and the only cover they had was on the ends.

As we round the break to the last barn on skid row the sun is coming up higher over the grandstand and race track. The lake in the middle of the track is reflecting all the colors in a breath-taking sunrise. Some horses gallop and jog the wrong bearing while two closely bunched horses fly by on the inside rail. No matter how fast they run, they wont escape the time keeper that is waiting to be strike as he sits in his elevated booth nap by the finish line.
