The first gear of the lines in the poem reads as follows, The art of losing isnt hard to master. Its as if Bishop is trying to restore confidence of her belief by resolutely writing it in the beginning. Bishop in the first stanza tells the readers that things have the tone to be lost this makes the situation of loss feel insouciant and inevitable. It is not hard to agree with Bishop on this because this theory is actually relatable to a majority of readers.
In the second stanza Bishop uses an example of the loss of something insignificant and repeats her message over and over again throughout her poem, but she strategically increases the value of what has or will be lost from a set of keys to cities to a loved one.
In the last stanza Bishops ironic tone is seen when she confers how losing her loved one wouldnt be a disaster and once again uses the line thats constantly repeated throughout the poem, Its evident the art of losings not to hard to master. Bishops use of the word too is used in order to give the facade of what shes saying as casual, shows readers her slender installments of irony. Of course losing things is not uncommon, it does however irritates us. It has come to the point where losing things has set out a form of art in this day and age.If you regard to get a full essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
