How far do you agree that the pillow slips in toastings poesys display a disturbing lack of morality?
In all of Brownings verse forms the reference books and fleck all have some occurrence with death, whether they are the cause of death or victim. This shows a large lack of morality because in all of his poems the characters have no detect for any mavin else but themselves. Also from personal experience of reading Brownings poems I sleep with that they all include the same feelings and objectives, these are; to have revenge on somebody and it is write in first person and a sinister way.
In Brownings poem The Patriot the main character conks from what we believe to be a war and is welcomed home with celebrations from the townspeople. This character seems to nonplus a trauma during the story and movements to turn to paragon to help him. Continuously the townspeople turn on him and attempt to kill him, therefore he believes that turning to God leave alone rescue him. Furthermore the character does not want to return to a life of celebrity, he wants the life he had earlier he left, I think this is why he starts to suffer and break down because the attention is too much for him.
Noticeably, in such poems as My last duchess the main character, the Duke, has no appraise for women and just kills them if they intend to leave him. Furthermore he has no regret for the actions he performs. We know this from the context in the poem because he is showing a visitor around his nursing home and the Duke is boasting about his paintings and the most recent one is one that is of his last duchess, which portraits the fact that she has died, but we do not know how. He speaks of the woman in the painting as beautiful, and that he truly admired her. However, further on in the poem we understand that she was a flirt with other men and the Duke suspect that she was going off with other men, and he wouldnt allow this happen.
