The process of selecting an OD Practitioner is the rootage and most important step for the agreement once they have made the decision that change is needed. This paper will mention the selection criteria that is important for the organization to evaluate and will pull how an organization will approach the selection of an OD Practitioner. erstwhile the stand begins, it is important to evaluate the teams within the organization so in addition to discussion selection of the most captivate practitioner, this paper will discuss team effectiveness and the teams’ magnificence to the success of the project.
Selection of the OD Practitioner
Selection involves finding an OD practitioner who has expertise and experience with the organizations business. According to Cummings and Worley (2009, p. 77) thither is little systematic advice available on how to choose a competent OD professional. One method of assuring readiness is for the organization to request proposals from OD professionals.
The OD professional and then must do their “homework” to learn about the organization and develop a proposal that aligns their expertise with the needs of the organization.
