A Rose for Emily
Emily Grierson, in this short story was a lonely child it doesnt mention anything about siblings and it was very ironic that her mother was neer mentioned throughout the story. Emily is considered impervious from what Shmoop Editorial Team states in their come off on who Emily was; meaning that the things that would go on in the away(p) world or just in her t hold among the people there, it never affected her and the way she went about doing things. The storyteller emphasizes on how ofttimes she was her fathers daughter, from all record in the short story he controlled her ultimately until the daylight he died and it continued on even after his stopping point (Shmoop Editorial Team, 2008).
In researching A Rose for Emily I nonplus learned that people tend to question whether or not the storyteller is a man or woman, a antecedent lover of Emilys or her former servant Tobe (Sparknote Editors, 2007). at that place are many reasons as to why Tobe may be thought of as the fibber, he or she often referred to Emily as Miss Emily, Tobe would have known her intimately and her secrets as well.



The narrator also provides a descriptive detail about the Colonel Sartoris (the mayor) and the point that he enforced a law requiring that sear women adopt aprons in public. With that being said it gives you more reason to say that the narrator was Tobe, who else would care about what went on with blacks beside another black person and someone who is a servant just akin those black women. The Narrator hides behind the pronoun we, by using we he or she can attribute what might his or her own thoughts and opinions to all the town (Sparknote Editors, 2007).
The fact that the narrator knows so much at the end of the story makes it more mysterious, like how he or she every detail at the end when the townspeople discovered Homers body.
