JOHN STUART MILL (1806-1873) John Stuart wonk (1806 1873) was a British philosopher and civil servant. An influential contributor to social theory, policy-making theory, and political economy, his conception of liberty justified the freedom of the individual in opposition to unlimited state control. He was a proponent of utilitarianism, an ethical theory developed by Jeremy Bentham, although his conception of it was real different from Benthams. Hoping to remedy the problems found in an inductive climb up to science, such as confirmation bias, he clearly hatful forth the premises of falsification as the key cistron in the scientific method. Mill was similarly a portion of Parliament and an important figure in liberal political philosophy. John Stuart Mill was born on Rodney Street in the Pentonville area of London, the eldest son of the Scottish philosopher, historian and imperialist James Mill and Harriet Burrow. John Stuart was educated by his father, with the advice and aid of Jeremy Bentham and Francis Place.

His father, a follower of Bentham and an adherent of associationism, had as his explicit cause to create a genius intellect that would carry on the cause of utilitarianism and its implementation after he and Bentham had died. Mill was a notably precocious child; at the age of triple he was taught Greek. By the age of eight he had usher Aesops Fables, Xenophons Anabasis, the whole of Herodotus, and was acquainted with Lucian, Diogenes , Isocrates and six dialogues of Plato. At the age of eight he began learning Latin, Euclid, and algebra. At the age of ten he could read Plato and Demosthenes with ease. His father also thought that it was important for Mill to study and compose poetry.
